How do I find Discount Tickets for Broadway Shows?.Are the New York Pass, Explorer Pass or CityPass worth it?.Is There Cheaper Lodging Outside Manhattan?.

Hotels: Kitchenettes and kitchens in 100+ Manhattan Hotels. How do I get from the airport (JFK, LGA, or EWR) to Manhattan?.Are any of my options listed good ones? If not, what do you suggest in the budget range if $300-$400 per night including fees/taxes! I like to try local eateries, my husband likes to grab a scotch, and I would like to be able to walk my 12 year old daughter to a park, to stores/mall to shop, sightsee, etc. Crowne Plaza H圓6 Manhattan (It seemed like a good option location wise but now I am reading it may be in a the meh, sketchy less desireable south area as stated in other forum posts)įor us, we like newer, modern styles, clean hotels with decent food/bar and in a safe, walkable area as we will eat out 90% of the time but may opt to dine in the hotel once or twice. Park Terrace Hotel (with fees this is pushing above my budget as they require you to book a studio room although the cheaper, premier room has the same number of beds uuuhgghhh)ģ. Motto Hotel by Hilton, Chelsea (Original choice before reading Midtown West was a better area)Ģ.

I am second guessing myself based on comments read and again this is our first visit so I am depending on the guidance from my TA family.ġ. I thought I had found some good hotel options using the hotel map feature but reading through the forum threads, maybe not. I saw that Midtown West is a highly recommended area due to its central, walkable location and being close to transportation options. Summit One, SOL, Central Park, Brooklyn Bridge, etc and we will attend a Broadway show (most likely Lion King). We are planning to visit as many of the standard must see places as possible such as : ESB, 911 Memorial, Highline. My husband, daughter, and I will visit NY for the first time next month, Aug 18-22.
